About plaintextfiles.com
This is a website about using plain text files. It aims to serve as a no-nonsense, pragmatic and grounded resource for learning how to work with plain text files effectively and is aimed at people at various skill levels. It is not a plain text fanatic urging people to eschew all other file formats.
Design
This website is set in a customised compilation of Berkeley Mono at 12/16 pt. It is designed to look like plain text files or, at best, a GUI similar to text editors and file systems, using Lucide icons.
Service
As you might suspect, this website itself runs on plain text files. It is built as a static site, based on a collection of markdown files, using Hugo and served through Netlify.
